Not every product needs the same presentation. Use this decision guide to choose when a model image should lead the story.

Modelify resultLead with context when fit matters
A model image is most useful when proportion, movement, or styling helps a shopper understand the product. Outerwear, coordinated sets, and pieces with a strong silhouette can benefit from seeing how they sit on a body rather than relying on a flat product view alone.
Keep detail views close by
Context should complement product evidence, not replace it. Pair the model image with a clear input or detail view that shows fabric, construction, and colour accurately. Together, the two views answer different questions: how does it look worn, and what exactly is being purchased?
Choose the simplest useful scene
A dramatic setting is not automatically a better one. Start with the calmest scene that communicates the intended use and leaves the garment legible. You can add editorial variety later, but the first image should make the product easy to understand at a glance.
